How Will Grandma Get There? The Firehouse Chicago is about 30 minutes North of downtown Chicago. Out of town guests could choose to stay in a more tourist-central location (like the Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile), or near the venue at The Lang House B&B or The Homestead.
Party On! Events can go until 12:00 a.m., with all guests out by 12:30 a.m.
The Report:
The Firehouse Chicago was the firehouse for Engine Company 70 before it was restored as a wedding venue while keeping the building’s original features.
Woman Getting Married Says:
Some cities have the most charming wedding venues, and Chicago is definitely one of them. This intimate and cozy wedding venue is perfect for smaller guest lists (I think 50 is the magic number here, though you can definitely go up to 75 or 80), and such a great choice for something a little off-the-beaten path for locals and a fun experience for out-of-town-guests as well. All in all this is a definite “must see” wedding venue!
