Average Base Cost: $47,000
Average base cost for a Chatham Bars Inn wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list on a Saturday night in July using the Main Lawn for a ceremony and the Stars room for the reception. An a la carte three-course meal (their top-tier version), passed appetizers, and a Luxury bar option was included [we did not use the Wedding Package option). Entertainment, additional decorations and rentals, DJ, wedding coordinator, and photography are not included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Tax and gratuity included.

How Will Grandma Get There? Chatham Bar Inn is a 2-hour drive to Logan International Airport, but only a 10 minute walk to Main Street. Guests would ideally stay at the hotel, where rooms start around $236 and go up from there depending on the time of year and availability (in summer months expect to pay in the $400s and up).
Party On! Events on the waterfront can go until 10 p.m. with the ability to have an after-party in the ballroom until 1 a.m.
Originally built in 1914 by Charles Hardy as a semi-private hunting lodge for well-to-do Boston vacationers, the award-winning Chatham hotel has undergone extensive renovations under its current owner. The resort (located on 25 acres of waterfront property) has a private quarter-mile beach in addition to a plethora of activities on or nearby the property including golf, whale-watching, tennis, biking, and sailing.
Woman Getting Married Says:
Even though you can obviously accommodate a rather large wedding here (400 people!), I actually think an intimate ceremony on the beach for 50 people followed by dinner would be pretty amazing. Not to say a larger wedding wouldn’t be, but there’s something about getting away with your closest friends and family that seems really nice to do here. In terms of pricing their list is pretty extensive (I would love it if they were able to narrow it down a bit, which they somewhat have with their Wedding Package), but I think the best deal here is the a la carte options. However, if you’re wanting the raw bar (and who doesn’t), passed chocolates and the other items on the list, you can save at least $100/pp by going a la carte.
