There is an endless supply of astonishing wedding vendors to be found in all the nooks and crannies of the United States. From the snowcapped mountains out west to the city streets of the east coast, and from the chilly northern expanses to the sunny southern shores, wedding bells are ringing every day and wedding vendors are blowing minds with their incredible work. So, with the help of some of the top rated wedding planners, we decided to highlight a few of the remarkable wedding vendors delighting brides daily in each state!
Birthplace of Neil Armstrong and Steven Spielberg, the Buckeye State is known for rolling fields and farmlands…and a fervor for college football! Ohio is also bustling with incredible wedding professionals, so we asked some of the best Ohio wedding planners to share their favorite local wedding vendors. Here are just a few of the go-to vendors these Ohio wedding planners shared…
Welcome to Ohio!
Venues
Hilton Downtown Columbus
“Although this is a hotel, there are various ballrooms to choose from – options with windows to modern décor – making this a really great option if you want your guests all in one place,” says Arielle Gavin of Savvy Events.

“This is a beautiful historic building in downtown Piqua. The ballroom is extraordinary and perfect for an elegant, glamorous wedding. The entire venue can be rented for a very affordable price, and provides both bride and groom a space for getting ready or relaxing before the wedding, as well as a separate cocktail hour area. From a planner’s standpoint, what I like best about this venue is that the price includes a 12-hour rental! Many venues in my area of Dayton, OH, only include a 5-hour rental for the event itself with 2 hours for setup and 1 hour for teardown. I typically spend 4 or more hours setting up a wedding of 100 guests or more, depending on the amount and complexity of the decor, so a venue that provides a full 12 hours is amazing!” says Lori Osborne of TLC Events & Weddings.
Photographers
Pottinger Photography
“Brenda is an amazing photographer and has won many awards. She has also been published numerous times. She is easy to work with and super friendly, and really helps her clients (young and old) feel comfortable during their photo shoots. She has an eye for detail and loves creating unique photographic moments,” says Osborne.
Wandering Woo Photography
“Paul’s amazing work looks like it came straight out of a high-end magazine. He is absolutely one of the best!” says Gavin.
Jenna Knott Photography
“She is the photographer that every client wants! She is fun, has an amazing artist eye and creates amazing photos!” says April Gladieux of Your Perfect Day Wedding Planning.
Florists
Evergreen Flower Co.
“Heather and her team are beyond amazing. Everything they touch goes beyond simple ‘wedding florals.’ They approach everything with an amazing eye for design, and it shows. I truly think she’s one of the best in the Midwest,” says Leda Anderson of Events Held Dear.
Furst the Florist
“Furst the Florist was established in Dayton in 1905 and remains one of the area’s top florists. They have a friendly staff and work closely with each client to bring their vision to life. And, they are extremely affordable!” says Osborne.
Dalay Ket Event Design
“They have high end designs and exquisite work, and are very reasonably priced. Dalay will go above and beyond to redo quotes to fit into a couple’s budget and always comes up with the most gorgeous work,” says Gavin.
Ella Flora
“Ella Flora designs stunning floral bouquets and arrangements. She takes your style and vision to transform your venue into your dream wedding!” says Gladieux.
Caterers
Tree City Catering
“Tree City Catering has the most delicious food in the area! Scott, the owner, creates dishes that best fit your wedding and the presentation is outstanding! Scott is so easy to work with and is great at communication,” says Gladieux.
Creative Cuisine
“They have incredible staff and great food all at reasonable prices. Creative Cuisine always makes couples feel welcome for tastings, and their events always run super smoothly,” says Gavin.
Two Caterers
“Their team is phenomenal. Not only are they able to accommodate almost any menu, the food is always exceptional and their staff is amazing. A good catering staff can make a world of difference at an event, and I always love having them in my corner,” says Anderson.
Brock Masterson’s Catering & Events
“Brock Masterson’s has absolutely delicious food, and they go above and beyond to accommodate the client’s menu selections — even creating custom menus to match unique themes or tastes. I am a new planner in the area and have not yet had the opportunity to work with them; however, I have tasted their food at many networking events and have heard nothing but rave reviews from other wedding professionals in my area,” says Osborne.
Bakers
Tiers of Sugar
“Karen with Tiers of Sugar is amazing! Her flavors are unique and delicious, her prices are affordable and her creations are over-the-top!” says Osborne.

Kelly’s Cakery
“Kelly is the best baker I have ever had the pleasure of tasting. I can’t find anyone to compare to her work. Not only are her cakes moist and delicious, her artwork and cake designs are also stunning,” says Gavin.
Crowned Cakes by Jess
“Crowned Cakes by Jess creates desserts that are not only tasty but also beautiful to look at! She has an amazing eye for detail and has never had an unsatisfied client!” says Gladieux.
DJs & Bands
Dayton Mobile DJ
“Mitchell Rowlett is an awesome DJ! I have worked with him on one wedding to date and have been at a few bridal shows with him. He also hosts a networking event for wedding professionals every few months, and has recently started a podcast to provide planning tips for couples. Mitch is super friendly and easy going, and really knows how to get guests out on the dance floor at any event!” says Osborne.
Rock the House Entertainment
“We’ve only worked them once, but they were fantastic. They do both live music and DJ. They are professional and wildly talented, and put on an amazing show where people don’t want to leave the dance floor,” Anderson says.
Josh Staley Productions
“It’s so difficult to find a great DJ team who is kind, professional, efficient with a timeline and a good MC, and they do all of this really, really well!” says Anderson.
Marino Brothers
“Based in Cleveland, I call this company to come down to Columbus on a regular basis because they are so amazing. You get 2 DJs for the price of one, and they engage the crowd more than any other company I have worked with. If a couple is looking for a party and to keep their guests on the dance floor, the Marino Brothers are the right choice,” says Gavin.
Touch The Sky DJs
“Rick Clark at Touch The Sky DJs is one of those DJs that not only keeps the dance floor rocking, he makes the music unique to your wedding. Rick mixes the music, sets the tone and wows your guests with his personality,” says Gladieux.
Hair & Makeup Artists
Makeup by Brie
“Brieyanna Freeman is an award-winning makeup artist and does some beautiful work! She is such a sweetheart to work with, too! Her prices are very affordable, even for the lower budget brides,” says Osborne.
Sarah W. Hair Design
“Sarah is exceptional. Not only is she one of the kindest people we’ve ever known, she is so talented! Just look at her Instagram, and you’ll know what we mean. She can do almost any style of hair, and makes everyone feel just as beautiful as they are,” says Anderson.
Rosemary & Pine Salon
“This brick and mortar salon in Powell does great work but will also travel to the client’s location to help get them ready for the big day. I have never heard a negative from any of my clients, and I find they always go above and beyond to make sure a bride is happy with her day-of style,” says Gavin.
Beauty By Billie Jo
“Beauty By Billie Jo is the make up artist that every bride should book. She can make you look radiant on your wedding day by just enhancing the gorgeous features you already have!” says Gladieux.
