How to Incorporate the Latest NYFW Trends to Your Bridesmaid Dresses

New York Fashion Week just wrapped up, and we are still drooling over the gorgeous new trends we saw come down the runway. From polka dots and prints to exaggerated sleeves and giant bows, there are so many fun and romantic looks that we just know we’re going to see crossover into bridal, and we can’t wait!

Even though we’re a couple weeks away from Bridal Fashion Week, wedding designers are already taking a cue from NYBFW and curating trendy looks for you and your bridal party. One of our fave stores that always manages to remain cutting edge when it comes to runway-to-aisle looks is David’s Bridal, which has collaborated with designers such as Vera Wang and Zac Posen on amazing (and affordable) bridesmaid dresses and wedding dresses.

We spoke with the experts at David’s Bridal on how you can incorporate the latest NYBFW color trends into your wedding party, below! Here’s what they said:

Be Bold

Don’t be afraid to play with bright colors. For Spring 2018 we are introducing an exclusive print featuring pops of Persimmon, Teal Blue, and our newest color, Sunflower. Consider dressing your Maid of Honor in our fun print and the rest of your bridesmaids in coordinating colors for a Pinterest-worthy party.

Same Color, Different Dress

If you are sold on one color but want your bridesmaids to feel extra special, consider choosing different styles made of the same fabric. Want to know our favorite combo for spring 2018? Mesh for comfort, lace accents for a feminine touch, and a trending color to tie it all together!

Mix and Match

Why pick one trend when you can pick a few? If bright colors aren’t your thing, a neutral palette with soft pinks and champagnes lets you incorporate a handful of trends without being too busy. Invite your girls to have a say in which style would best suit their personality and body type. A little lace for your classic contemporary who wants a bit of coverage. Ruffles and an off-the-shoulder look for your fashionable boho bestie. And finally, an easy draped v-neck dress for your no fuss friend.
