Our average base cost for a Jacob’s Pillow wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list for a Saturday ceremony/reception using the Extravaganza Wedding Package, and a food/beverage cost of $125/pp. Entertainment, flowers, furniture, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are NOT included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Gratuity and sales tax is included.

Intimate Celebration:

• 80-120 guests

Extravaganza:

• 120-170 guests
• Inside/Out Stage-Ceremony (Includes 2 microphones)

• Doris Duke Theatre/Porch-Reception (Includes 1 microphone and basic sound system)
• Basic lighting package—general color wash and general pattern wash with spot lights for speeches, bar, and catering tables.

Ceremony Only Package

• +200 guests
• 4 hour rental period
• Inside/Out Stage-Ceremony
• Includes 2 microphones

Reception Only Package

• 170 guests with dance floor and band

What’s Included: 

The venue rental for wedding packages is for a 2 day period, except for ceremony only or reception only packages. All packages include exclusive use of designated areas, access to grounds for wedding photography, audio system with microphone, 2 staff members on the day of the event, ample free parking, public restrooms, and onsite garbage/recycling dumpsters. Depending on your wedding package, your rental fee may include additional audio and lighting equipment (See above).

Food and Beverage: All food/beverage catering must be provided by Haven Cafe Bakery

Other Vendors: Outside vendors are allowed, except for caterers.

How Will Grandma Get There? Ideally Grandma could stay on the property, as they offer several lodging options, listed below. Otherwise there are a ton of hotels 20 minutes away radius for other wedding guests, including the LakeHouse Inn and Blantyre. Bradley International Airport and Albany International Airport are both about an hour away.

The Report:

The New York Times has called Jacob’s Pillow, a 220-acre National Historic Landmark, “the dance center of the nation.” Purchased in 1931 by modern dance pioneer Ted Shawn, Jacob’s Pillow, which received the National Medal of Arts, is also home to America’s longest-running international dance festival. Their most popular wedding package (the Extravaganza) includes a ceremony on the Inside/Out stage (which offers views of the Berkshire Hills); cocktail hour on the Doris Duke Theatre Porch, with additional space on the lawn; and a reception in the Doris Duke Theatre.
