How it breaks down:
Facility Rental Fee: The event fee is $5,000, plus $50 per guest for up to 100 guests, as well as additional extras outlined below.
*Wedding parties of more than 100 guests can be accommodated; in that case, a portable restroom trailer is required. See more re: pricing for that below.
What’s Included: Access to the Floating Farmhouse grounds for an 8-hour wedding event (ceremony, cocktail and dinner reception), use of their renovated barn for one event, use of house bathroom during the event, parking, fire pit and firewood, grounds clean up post-event, and sales tax.
Extras: Equipment such as tables, chairs, tent, etc. are available for rent by outside sources for an additional fee. These extra costs are also required by the venue:
- A general liability policy for the event must be purchased separately; the standard policy costs $175.
- A two-night minimum overnight stay is required as well. The overnight rate is $125 per guest per night/eight guest minimum, plus 8% sales tax as well as a $300 cleaning fee. And a $99 property damage protection plan, in lieu of submitting a security deposit, is also required. The farmhouse sleeps up to 15 guests. Holiday weekends require a three-night minimum stay at $150 per guest/seven guest or $1,050 minimum per night.
- A portable restroom is required for more than 100 guests. The average price is around $1,500.

Featured by Dwell magazine and Architectural Digest, the Floating Farmhouse is an 1820 Catskills manor home with sweeping lawns, apple trees, a waterside gazebo and a covered porch suspended over the water’s edge, giving you the feeling as if you are “floating” (hence the name!). The farmhouse itself features a cathedral-like kitchen with polished concrete floors, a wood-fired pizza oven, and a two-story wall of skyscraper glass with views of the property. The great room and master suite boast fireplaces and vintage furnishings throughout, and each guest room has an original cast-iron bed. The Barn at Floating Farmhouse was recently renovated combines all of the original details, like wide-board floors, plank walls and exposed ceiling beams, walls of zinc-coated steel and translucent aluminum, and a 14 ft-wide by 10 ft-high hangar door that retracts by pushing a button, creating an indoor/outdoor space and panoramic views of the farmhouse and grounds. A typical wedding setup includes cocktail hour on the grand covered porch, ceremony at the water’s edge or in a clearing under the towering pines, and either a tent reception or one in the barn.

Woman Getting Married Says:
I’m seriously hoping that one day the owner’s let me move in with them, I’m that in love with this property. If they are not quite into that, the next best thing would be getting married here! (I even think it would make for a great North American honeymoon destination!) I love that you can have an intimate rehearsal dinner or morning-after brunch here, as well as stay on-site with your closest family and friends in a house that is so incredible. The finished barn is also the perfect addition to this venue space. Overall the Floating Farmhouse is a hidden gem of a wedding venue, and perfect if you’re looking to throw a unique, modern yet rustic, and above all chic wedding that every guest will remember.
