How Will Grandma Get There? The Meritage Resort and Spa is situated at the southern tip of Napa Valley at the crossroads of Highway 29 and Highway 221, just a few minutes from the Carneros wine growing region that connects Napa and Sonoma Counties. The area offers easy access to several major airports. For lodging, the Meritage offers group guestroom rates for groups of 10 rooms or more per night.
Party On! Events are quoted on a six (6) hour time period and weddings can be scheduled over the hours of 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. An overtime charge will be imposed for events exceeding six hours.

Important Note: The Meritage Resort and Spa requires a “day of” wedding planner, which can be found with other recommendations on their preferred vendor list. Couples can ultimately choose their own vendors — though the resort reserves the right to review and approve them — as long as they’re “reliable, insured, professional and familiar with the guidelines.”
The resort will not permit the affixing of any items to floors, walls or ceilings in the indoor event spaces and outdoor wedding venues. Any questionable decorations, lighting or other equipment must be approved by the Catering and Event Manager.
Located in California’s Napa Valley, the Meritage Resort and Spa boasts over 10,490 square feet of event space, making it ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions of anywhere from 50 to 1,000 guests. The resort provides an event and conference services team, which assists with the planning of your ceremony and reception. Your event manager can recommend and arrange rehearsal dinners, spa packages for the bridal party, exclusive entertainment options, and special guest room rates for wedding guests. The bride and bridal party can also enjoy special treatments at Spa Terra including group and couples treatments, while the groomsman and guests may prefer to relax in Crush Lounge or one of the resort’s nine tasting rooms before the big day.
Woman Getting Married Says
There are lots of reasons to get married at a hotel/resort, one of them being all the items they usually include in their wedding packages. Meritage is no exception, and I think their wedding packages include a lot of great things (such as a printed menu, table numbers, etc.) that other hotels don’t always include. It’s also great that guests can stay at the resort, though I also love the Carneros Resort or the nearby Hotel Yountville for lodging. For wedding locations at the venue, I love the Estate Cave for your reception over the ballroom. After all you can find a ballroom anywhere, if you’re in Napa you want to really highlight your surroundings!
