How Will Grandma Get There? The Bradley International Airport is just an hour away from Deep River. The Lace Factory is also centrally located between New York City and Boston, making it easily accessible from Route 9 and Interstates-95 and 91. For lodging, the venue can provide a list of nearby hotels, such as the Copper Beech Inn, a 4-star hotel that is a 10-minute drive away.
Party On! Events can last until 10 p.m.
Important Note: Outside vendors are allowed with the exception of Power Station events. They’ve provided the sound system and a credit is given for using one of their DJs or bands. Otherwise, all music professionals are required to plug in to sound system.
The Report
Constructed around 1865, what’s now known as the Lace Factory was once a shipbuilding yard. The warehouse space is located alongside the CT River, and can accommodate up to 225 guests. With wide open space to host an event, the Lace Factory also features rough-hewn wood floors, exposed brick walls, and 60 ten-foot 24 paned windows. Couples and guests can also get to the venue via the Essex Steam Train.
Woman Getting Married Says
I really like venues like the Lace Factory, because even though they are essentially a blank slate allowing you to create any type of wedding theme you want, it has enough vintage charm to stand on its own. The venue scores high marks from brides and guests for the service and food, and I love that you can ride the train up for your event. Even though I usually prefer venues that have a later curfew, I think you would want to have your wedding on the earlier side here to take advantage of a waterfront ceremony.
