How Will Grandma Get There? While there are hotels in nearby Williamsburg like the Wythe Hotel, out of town guests will most likely want to stay in the city and take a quick cab ride to Brooklyn (Grand Central Terminal is 6 miles away from Roberta’s).

Party On! Due to city noise ordinances, weekend events can run until 11 p.m. with music turn-down at 10:30 p.m., and Monday-Friday until 10 p.m.

The Report:

Musician’s turned pizza makers Chris Parachini and Brandon Hoy started this artisinal pizza restaurant in 2008, around the time more and more places in Bushwick (near where I used to live) started popping up. The restaurant is housed in a former garage, and the Garden (where weddings are hosted) features a working space filled with herbs, flowers, vegetables, and fruit used in food served throughout the restaurant and for catered events.

 Woman Getting Married Says:

I love, LOVE this as a venue. First, the food (and pizza) at Roberta’s is highly regarded as being some of the best in Brooklyn as well as New York City. Second, this place and the entire concept just oozes charm. It’s like the perfect Brooklyn/NYC backyard wedding, if you were an amazing chef and had a dream apartment. While the food is definitely not inexpensive for an event and there’s an upcharge on the pizza (for example the Rosso normally sells for $10 on their menu, but each pizza is $20/pie for an event) and the per-person bar costs seems high (a full-bar for a 5-hour event will run you $65/pp) it’s unfortunately not out of line for what other places in the area are charging. However, I really like that they offer in-house wedding coordinators for a fee as well as include furniture and tent rentals in their price. I would opt for a smaller wedding (like 75 people) if you want to have a ceremony/reception, and make it more on the casual side with pizza, salads, and maybe one additional entree or two.
