Average Base Cost: $25,000
Our average base cost for a Granite Ridge Estate wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list on a Saturday evening using a food/beverage price of $100/pp. For the venue itself (minus the recommended $4,800 for lodging) you would be paying $9,915 (which includes a 9% Maine sales tax). Entertainment, flowers, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are not included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Gratuity and sales tax included.

More Stats:
Space Type: Inside/Outside. Weather permitting, you would have the ceremony on their wooded ceremony site with the reception in the barn.
Size: Up to 223 guests can fit in the barn with a dance floor
Bridal Suite: This would be your room
Parking: There is limited on-site parking for the day of your event. Included in your wedding package is a shuttle bus that will transport your guests from the Norway town center to the venue. The venue has a transportation manager that will be able to create a plan that makes sense for your wedding based on where the majority of your guests are staying. PRO TIP: The road leading to the venue is a little “rustic” now but is actually in the process of being paved and should be ready by 2017.
How Will Grandma Get There?
The estate is located approximately 1 hour from the Portland airport. The estate can accommodate up to 18 guests, so ideally she could stay there. Wedding parties in the past have rented out the lake houses, cabins, and mansions that are only a few minutes away from the estate, making it easier to get to and from the venue. There are also several hotels located less than 20 miles away from the venue. (You can see the full list here: https://www.graniteridgeestate.com/maine-rustic-wedding-planning For the guests staying at the estate with you, I would recommend (if you feel comfortable) charging each guest $100 per night to recoup the lodging costs you would be paying for with the venue fee. (16 guests for 3 nights at $100/night would save you $4,800 from the rental fee).
Party On! Anytime you want!
The Report:
Granite Ridge Estate is located on 200 acres. The rental includes the Estate Lodge, barn, wooded ceremony site, bathrooms, and one shuttle bus. There is also a cocktail area located outside of the barn. Only one wedding per week is allowed on the property.
Woman Getting Married Says:
You are essentially renting an estate that was made for wedding venues, which is an amazing combination (typically when you rent an estate for a wedding you’re holding it all outside…but this owner built a barn specifically for large receptions). You can really get an intimate, rustic, yet updated vibe at this venue, and I think it would be great for family/friends rented out the houses and cabins nearby for a modern, relaxed, yet elegant summer retreat. Brides I’ve spoken to who have booked the property rave about the owners and customer service, and said the views and the space are what really sold them. Plus, the fact that you can work with any caterer you choose (and that you can BYOB) ends up being a big cost savings in the end.
