Our average base cost for an Asticou Inn wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list for a Tent Event in July and an average food/beverage cost of $125/pp. Price does not include a tent. Entertainment, flowers, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are not included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Gratuity and sales tax is included.

What’s Included:
5 hours including cocktail hour and ceremony. For dining room receptions they include, chairs, tables, white linen, glassware, flatware and china. For tented weddings everything must be rented from Wallace Tent.
Food/Beverage: Catering must be provided on-site. The average food and beverage cost is $125/pp. You can opt for a consumption or fixed price bar package. The prices (per person) are as follows:

How Will Grandma Get There? The Asticou Inn is located 50 miles from the Bangor International Airport. Ideally Grandma would stay on the property. The Inn has forty-eight rooms, with thirty-one rooms in the Main Inn and seventeen rooms in their adjacent accommodations: Cranberry Lodge, Blue Spruce, Bird Bank, and the Topsiders. All guests may enjoy their parking, wifi, clay tennis court, and heated pool. Rooms prices start at $155, but you would be able to receive the following discounts if you booked your wedding there:
- With 10 – 19 Rooms 20%
- With 20 – 46 Rooms 30%
- With 48 Rooms 50%
Party On! Amplified music must end by 11:00 pm. They do not allow booking additional time.
The Report:
With a history that goes back 100 years, The Asticou Inn is a 15-minute walk from Asticou Azalea Garden and Thuya Garden. Located in Northeast Harbor, the Inn was at one point owned by Charles Kenneth Savage, who built the Azalea Garden in 1956. Couples usually use the Garden for wedding photos before or after their wedding ceremony.

I love the idea of destination wedding in Maine, and this is a quaint hotel that will definitely give you that familial vibe. Since the dining room is so small, I would go into this venue knowing that you’re just renting the property for it’s amazing view (that’s Mount Desert Island in the background) and convenience (since you can have guests stay in one of the 48 rooms affiliated with the Inn) and not much else. The good news? With that view you probably won’t need much in terms of decor.
