How Will Grandma Get There? This venue is located in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, which is easily accessible via car from the city. The F train (York Station) is also an 8 minute walk away (0.4 miles). In terms of hotels guests can of course stay in the city, or if they love the idea of staying in Brooklyn there are several close by, including the Hotel Indigo and New York Marriott Brooklyn Bridge. The best spots for guests to stay in the city would be the Bowery, Lower East Side, Tribeca, and Soho.
Party On! Events can go until midnight. You can choose to have the event go from 5:30 p.m.-11:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 12 a.m., however they would have to adjust the volume in the garden somewhat for the last half hour.
Gran Electrica is a Mexican restaurant in the heart of DUMBO, featuring speciality items like fresh hand-pressed tortillas crafted with heirloom corn, house-made crema and queso fresco, as well as cocktails with tequila and mezcal by small-batch and artisan distillers. Owners Tamer Hamawi, Elise Rosenberg, and Emelie Kihlstrom alongside Chef Rob Stauning offer a “market-driven Mexican menu inspired by travels abroad.” If you’re looking to hold a ceremony nearby, one possibility is to get married in Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Woman Getting Married Says:
I LOVE, LOVE the idea of a wedding with eclectic decor, and this is definitely the spot for that. I also think upscale Mexican food is a great option for an intimate, unique, and low-key wedding (especially one with yummy cocktails). While I’ve heard great things about the food at this restaurant, Yelp is a bit of a mixed bag for them so I would definitely plan on eating there prior to committing if you were interested (I would suggest that for all the other venues I recommended as well).
