The Report
With ten acres and AAA Four Diamond resort amenities, Estancia La Jolla is a destination in and of itself, poised to host a variety of events. Wedding guests can stay in any of the hotel’s 210 guest rooms and suites, where accommodations blend historic Spanish architecture with modern amenities. Onsite features include two signature restaurants, Blend café, a wine tasting room, a saltwater pool and a spa. Not to mention, San Diego’s best beaches and top attractions are easily within reach.
When it comes to Estancia La Jolla’s wedding venues, there’s both lush outdoor space and premier indoor settings, including award-winning gardens and hacienda-style architecture.
Woman Getting Married Says
San Diego is one of the best destination wedding locations IMO, because the access to the city and resorts from the airport is fairly easy, and there is also a ton to do for out of town guests. This resort perfectly captures the easy, breezy vibe of the city, and the venue spaces (especially the outdoor ones) are gorgeous. If you’re having a smaller guest list of 125 people, I would opt to have your wedding ceremony on the Olive Lawn and your reception in the Grande Room, which features new herringbone wood floors and is more contemporary than their La Jolla ballroom. Because the hotel has multiple venue offerings you likely won’t be the only wedding there that weekend, however most brides say they have never felt any cross-over effects.
