Beth and Philip’s wedding at the Marigny Opera House in Louisiana was so ethereal and gorgeous. Captured perfectly by one of our Southern favorites, Arte De Vie, it has an old world elegance that was so dreamy without feeling over the top. More from their event planner, Blue Gardenia Events, below:
“The moment I met Beth, I knew that working with her to plan her and Phil’s wedding day was going to be something special. Beth has such a unique sense of style and a clear vision of what she wanted to create for her and Phil’s special day. And, her wedding gown reflected her impeccable style completely. It was Art Nouveau inspired, with delicate and intricate beading and an oh-so dramatic back – truly modern, timeless, and elegant. Beth & Phil were married at a place like no other, the Marigny Opera House, in a city like no other, New Orleans. Her inspiration was to take the haunting beauty of the opera house and infuse it with organic & gilded details with a dash of a modern edge. The color palette was pale gray, copper, mixed metals, lush greenery, ivory, deep burgundy, with unexpected pops of teal. The copper came from table runners that Beth’s family member made. And, her grandmother’s milk glass also provided inspiration. The pale gray gave a modern edge to the design and provided the perfect backdrop to bring all of the other elements together. Birch, greenery, and soft florals were abundant throughout the décor. Vintage elements, including well-worn doors were also featured in the ceremony and reception. Patinaed doors provided the perfect backdrop as Beth and Phil said their “I do’s” and also served as welcome and escort tables. Deep teal escort cards and menus popped with gilded gold calligraphy. Gold accents continued with lanterns and candle décor. Beth and Phil treated their guests to a true New Orleans celebration with a traditional Second Line following the ceremony, incredible creole cuisine from Joel’s catering, & the funky jazz tunes of the Swamp Donkeys. Everyone danced the night away amidst twinkling candlelight in this most special place.”
