When I was planning our wedding I often found myself wishing I had some long lost aunt or uncle or cousin I never met who would all of a sudden turn up and offer us their amazing estate or castle to get married in. My mom would be like “You don’t know your Great Uncle Herbert?! He’s only the third richest cattleman in the world and he wants to offer you his 25,000 acre ranch to get married at!”
But, sadly, there was no Great Uncle Herbert or crazy Aunt who lives in the South of France to offer us their palatial but humble home for us to say “I Do,” at. But 6 years later there is something even better. Airbnb! With so many homeowners around the world offering their properties for varying budgets, you get the best of both worlds. You get an amazing destination wedding location that will let you host guests for the weekend and have your your ceremony and reception at, and you don’t have to deal with any of the potential awkwardness of having your wedding at a family member or friend’s house.
If you’re into the idea of renting an estate for your wedding, Airbnb should definitely be top on your list to check out. What’s great is they even offer their own curated selection of properties they think could be perfect for a wedding, which is a great place to start.
