As the days get shorter and the nights colder, we’re sourcing up fall wedding inspiration that’ll make you wish for plaid scarves and candlelit kisses. This year, it’s all about combining the latest fashion trends, metallic accents, moody blooms and creative cocktails to make up a dreamy, autumn leaf-filled wedding. And while we admit fall might just be our favorite season, there are so many reasons why. The colorful leaves, the tasteful treats (pie, lots of it), and the beautiful jewel toned florals are too pretty not to love. Not to mention a round or two of hot, spiked cider. Incorporating some or all of these seasonal details into your fall wedding will make sure guests enjoy all of their seasonal favorites. Plus, even as the temperatures drop, many venues still offer outdoor options for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. The perfect al fresco wedding complete with crisp air and even crisper pie crusts. Now, about that cider!

1. Apple Cider
Do you know what we love more than apple cider? Hot apple cider served in an apple bowl. Yes, that’s right. This version features a cinnamon stick and orange slices for a magically fall combination.
2. Pumpkin Aisle Markers
Lucky enough to have an alfresco wedding ceremony? Amazing! Line that aisle with a variety of pumpkins. This is definitely a cheaper alternative to floral, and, it’s seasonally appropriate.
3. Menus Accented with Leaves
This kind of goes without saying, but we think anywhere you can fit in the colors of autumn through fall foliage, you should. So these menus tied with ribbon and accented with colorful leaves are definitely up our ally.
4. The Pie Stand
Pie, pie, and more pie. While you should definitely offer an assortment of flavors (think apple, pumpkin and fresh berries), doing so in all different shapes and sizes definitely takes your pie stand to the next level. Case in point? The lattice rectangle pie here which is out of the (circular) ordinary. And that top-crustless pie with the braided side? Delicious.
5. Gold-leaf Centerpieces
We know you’ve seen the whole gold-spray-painted leaf thing time and time again. But this version, with neatly arranged leaves placed atop a wood beam is delicate and classic, while still including the autumnal accents we know and love. Consider adding candles to these centerpieces for an extra something.
6. Floral Adorned Cake
Naked wedding cakes are still a definite trend. But this version, adorned in jeweled florals, is the perfect statement piece on the sidelines of your reception. Moody and blush meets wedding cake.
7. Plaid Napkins
Fall we love you. We also love plaid. Anywhere, anytime. So these navy and white plaid napkins are the perfect addition to your wedding tablescape in our book. When mixed with fresh greenery and gold-rimmed glassware, the effect is woodsy and romantic (without being totally lumberjack).
8. Dusty Petals
Moody blooms are one thing, but this selection of dusty pinks tied up with a copper ribbon is so swoon-worthy. Pink, done so perfectly right.
9. The Apple Orchard Venue
A fall wedding in an orchard? Surefire win. This long rectangular table amidst the orchard is so utterly beautiful it has us googling orchard weddings right this very moment. Plus, those photos of you and your future spouse apple picking in a bridal gown and tweed suit? One of our favorites.

10. Plaid Accents
Though you’re bound to have beautiful photos during a fall wedding, your bridal party may get a bit chilly during those photos outdoors. So, think about plaid scarves that can double as bridesmaids gifts. Tip: We love a great mix-and-match.
11. Candy-Apple Dessert
Candy apples are a fall mainstay. But this tasteful dessert (complete with twig sticks!) is an update on a great classic. We could also see these done with mini apples, a perfect dessert pass- around so guests don’t have to get off the dance floor!
12. The Off-the-shoulder Rehearsal Dinner Dress
The off-the-shoulder fashion trend was one of summer’s serious must-haves, and this white dress brings the trend into fall, all while being fittingly perfect for pre-wedding festivities.
13. Jewel-Toned Shoes
This something blue? Something amazing! If you’re still searching for wedding shoes, you might want to consider a colorful option. Jewel-tones are a fall staple, and these shoes totally tie in the trend. Bonus? They’re not white, so you can wear them to events even after your wedding day.
14. Vintage Stamps
We love the look of a group of vintage stamps placed neatly in the corner of your wedding invitations. While it’s not always super-easy to find a selection of stamps that match your wedding’s atmosphere, resources like Etsy have made finding your perfect postage much easier. Like this collection of harvest stamps that are seemingly perfect for your autumn wedding. We also love the pinecone. Just remember to make sure to use the right amount of postage (you can get your invitation weighed at the post office to makes sure). Hint: One stamp should be worth a good amount (like 29¢ or 33¢ cents), because you’d need a whole lot of 6¢ stamps to get to the standard $0.68 it costs to mail a wedding invitation.
15. Apple Candles
If you’re looking to add little details, we love these apple-shaped candles. Not only are they adorable, they’ll add a scent of apple, warm spices, wildflower honey with maple cream, vanilla and musk to an otherwise unadorned area in your venue.
