Color Palette

There are many color options that can be incorporated into the perfect spring wedding! You can never go wrong with the traditional pastel colors in pinks, greens and yellows to give your wedding ceremony a classic yet fresh look. If you’re feeling a little daring, adding pops of colors such as deep reds and oranges can help add that splash of color to your already sophisticated ceremony. Another bold color choice would be using earthy tones such as deep browns, sages, and ivory.

Wedding Food – Light, Bright and Healthy

Planning meals for a Spring wedding is simple and easy with a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables to choose from. Some favorites include steamed asparagus, fresh snap peas, and salad greens. All of these choices drizzled with some dressing will make an excellent pairing with your main course. The main dish is where you can get creative and serve a wide variety of cooking styles for traditional meals. You can’t go wrong with grilled chicken, a rack of lamb or even a fresh fish fillet. No wedding is done right without dessert. Fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate, or cheesecake topped with fresh fruit, or even lemon meringue tarts can be added to your dessert menu.

Flowers

Popular flowers for spring weddings include fragrant lilies, tulips, daises, roses and hyacinths, which are all in full bloom for Spring 2016 season. They also all pair beautifully with each other and will create a beautiful and colorful arrangement.

Spring Fashion

It may not be hot enough for a Summer wedding so wearing a lightweight suit along with a vibrant pastel color is always in style for a spring wedding. Choose breathable fabrics like cotton, and stay away from wool or polyester. Pastel colors to think of when accenting your spring fashion would be; mint green, yellows and pinks.

Bring Nature In

Incorporate different shapes and sizes of centerpieces into the wedding by adding flowers and green plants to supplement your spring wedding. Furnish a small planter with long stemmed spring flowers.

This is all really helpful but you forgot to mention food! You can’t forget how important it is to feed your guests so that everyone can enjoy their time.

My wedding will be held this upcoming spring, and I cannot wait! I have always dreamed of the perfect day with vibrant colors and people I love. As you said, there are many color options that can be incorporated into the perfect spring wedding. We will be decorating a banquet hall for the reception! I will keep these tips in mind for sure! Thanks for sharing.

  3. My fiance and I will be getting married at the start of spring. It will still be pretty cold for an outdoors wedding. So, I liked your suggestion about bring nature inside. It does seem like a good way to get our banquet hall to feel like it is spring time.
