About the Designer: Sophia Tolli is an Australian bridal line founded in 2006 by Sophia Apostolides. When Sophia was growing up, her seamstress aunt created most of her clothes by hand. Choosing her own fabrics inspired Sophia to follow in her aunt’s footsteps and become a dressmaker as a teenager. After college, she spent 10 years as the head designer at Maggie Sottero before collaborating with Mon Cheri to design her own line. This line, Sophia Tolli, is known for its beautiful, high-end but lower-price gowns, named after timely pop culture trends.
About her collections, Sophia has said she has two themes: “One is soft classic romanticism; the other is of traditional bridal drama. My signature style will always be gowns with an exceptional fit and cut. I’d like each dress to flatter the bride and look high-end without the high-end price tag.”
Sophia Tolli gowns can be found at most major bridal retailers. For a surprisingly affordable price, her wide range of gowns hold something in store for every bride. She focuses on dramatic elements, like intricate beading and full skirts, but designs her gowns in a very tasteful, elegant way.
Price range: $,1000-$2,000+
Where to Buy: In the U.S. Sophia Tolli wedding dresses can be bought via a Mon Cheri retailer.
