The Report:Â
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the River Oaks Garden Club Forum of Civics was built in 1910 and has been owned by the River Oaks Garden Club since 1942. Featuring three formal gardens (designed by J. Allen Myers, Jr. and Herbert Skogland) as well as two additional, more informal gardens,  the Forum is available for ceremonies, receptions, birthday parties, and photo sessions. The Forum of Civics is the sister property to Bayou Bend.
Woman Getting Married Says:
The River Oaks Garden Club Forum of Civics is a naturally beautiful Houston wedding venue which is fairly cost-effective for the city. Even though you’ll have to bring in your own tables, chairs, etc., the gardens are so pretty you’ll really have to do very little in terms of decor (think colorful roses and lots of candles). I would talk with the venue/caterer re: the use of a tent in case of inclement weather (brides have said there is a custom tent you are able to use). If you are able to get that included this becomes an even better deal.

Great information! Thanks for sharing it.
Thanks for the information. To the best of my view after reading the above content it seems that River Oaks Garden club is merely a monument type. Where in marriage place dance is not allowed, there is no place for changing the dress for bride or groom then it is just like monument. I got married at House Plantation, they have all inclusive facility. They have also best outdoor arrangements.
