Identical twins share a lot of things, but a wedding typically isn’t one of them. That wasn’t the case for Brittany and Briana Deane, though.
Last weekend, the identical twin sisters married identical twin brothers, Joshua and Jeremy Salyers, in a joint wedding. Their guests were certainly seeing double, especially considering the couples were wed at the Twins Days Festival in none other than Twinsburg, Ohio.
“It’s really been a fairy tale come true,” Briana told People. “Marrying twins is something that’s very important to us… Even when we were little girls I can remember being in kindergarten, knowing that that is what we saw for ourselves.”
The four met at the 2017 Twins Day festival, and the rest was history.
“I remember vividly the first time Brittany and I saw Josh, and Jeremy at the twins festival,” said Briana, who married Jeremy. “I also remember the first time we all spoke the last night of the festival. It’s sort of like everything was in slow motion.”
The wedding — appropriately dubbed “Twice Upon a Time” — was officiated by identical twin pastors. The brothers and sisters also wore matching dresses and tuxedos.
TLC was on hand to film the couples’ big day for a one-hour special premiering in 2019.

“The newlyweds’ journey to the alter will be featured in an upcoming TLC special which will invite viewers into the extraordinary world of twin subculture and illuminate the daily life of identical twins,” a TLC publicist told the Detroit Free Press. “Not only will viewers get a first-hand look at the unique bond that these twins have with each other, and their new spouses, but they also get to tag along with the quartet as they prepare for their joint nuptials and ultimately proclaim ‘I do’ – twice.”
Hopefully the couples’ honeymoons won’t be as much of a joint effort!
