So, this idea is pretty amazing…
In 2010 Disney filed a patent for a new wedding cake technology that would allow couples to display photos, videos, or other animations onto their wedding cake for a completely unique design (or as they’re calling it, your own “wedding story.”) But this isn’t any ol’ projection system…Disney’s “fully customizable image mapping projection technology” would recognize the topography of your cake (and whether or not a slice had been removed) and project the animation/photos/etc., accordingly. Watch the video above to see it in action.
The cake is currently only available to couples opting for a Disney Wishes Collection wedding, but who knows…it could become available at your local bakery in the near future!
