UCLA alums Caity and Aaron met at a football game. So it was only fitting that Aaron proposed at a tailgate party (on November 22, 2014, to be exact) before that day’s UCLA vs. USC game. From the bride and groom:
“Caity was manning the grill, and behind her she heard Aaron start to lead an 8 Clap. He stopped before the cheer began, calling her up to lead the cheer with him. She knew she wasn’t going to lead a cheer, but played along anyway. As Caity raised her hands in the air, Aaron got down on one knee, proposed with a stunning ceylon sapphire ring, Caity said ‘Yes!,’ everybody took shots of champagne, and the Daily Bruin caught it all on camera! Then UCLA went and took care of business on the field.”
In addition to having enough school pride to fill a football stadium, it’s clear just how in love these two are with one another. They also like to have fun, which is why this UCLA wedding is so perfect. From sapphire engagement rings to other blue and gold UCLA colors throughout, Aaron and Caity’s laid-back wedding at UCLA is one for the books…school books, that is!
