Denise and Brad got married at The Club at The Strand in Naples, and their day pulled off something we always love to see: tropical on the way in, classic blue and white once you sat down. Palm trees and ferns framed the ceremony, and then the reception went full hydrangea and soft chinoiserie blue. Jennifer Matteo Event Planning ran the show, and Rachael Osborn photographed all of it. If you are gathering ideas for a Florida wedding, this one is a keeper.
Scroll through a few of our favorite moments below. A big thank you to Denise and Brad, to planner Jennifer Matteo, and to Rachael Osborn for sharing the day with us.
Getting Ready
Denise got ready with Chanel and Dior on the table and her gown waiting in a monogrammed D and B garment bag, which tells you the level of polish she was going for. And the dress delivered: a beaded bodice and soft feathered sleeves we keep scrolling back to look at. Brad kept his side classic in a black tux.
A First Look at the Fountain
Her bouquet leaned right into the day’s colors: blush, peach, sky blue, and plenty of green. Before the ceremony, the two of them met at the club’s fountain under those big white arches for a few minutes on their own. If you are still going back and forth about it, this is a good argument for having a first look.
The Ceremony
They got married outside under the palms, with two tall floral pillars in blush, peach, and blue marking the spot. Denise and Brad wrote their own vows, too, tucked into matching “his” and “her” linen books. If that is on your list, our guide to writing your own vows is a good place to start.
The Reception
Inside, the reception went blue and white the whole way. Blue hydrangea on the tables, a striped bar, and an “Our Favourite People” seating chart set against blue floral wallpaper. If you are torn between assigned seats and letting everyone sort it out, we broke down seating charts vs. open seating here.
Cake, Cannoli, and the Party
After the first dance, dessert showed up in the best way. There was a heart-shaped “Just Married” cake topped with red rose petals, a spread of mini cakes, and a cannoli cart rolling through with a “Love is Sweet” sign. Denise swapped into a short dress for the party, and the rest of the night looks like a very good time.
Loving the palm-trees-and-pastels look? Here is another lush tropical Florida wedding worth a scroll.
