While we’re not always a fan of spending money on wedding favors, there’s something about winter wedding favors that make it seem totally worth it. That’s because you can really play into the winter theme (unlike spring or summer where everything is pretty much the same). From hot chocolate to inexpensive (yet personal) ornaments, there are so many ideas for store-bought or DIY favors that are perfect for cold weather.
EDITOR’S TIP: If you’re getting married outside you might also consider a practical winter wedding favors, such as a blanket or a wraps.
When it comes to ornaments, they definitely top my list for winter wedding favors. I personally love getting new ornaments each year. Whether I’m on a trip and want something to remember it by or passed down from family members, it’s great to get winter wedding favors that you can use (and appreciate) down the road.

The Best Winter Wedding Favors
Check out a few of our favorite winter wedding favors in the gallery above and let us know which ones you are using (and what month your winter wedding is) in the comments section. A few of our favorites from the list (besides ornaments) include:
- Socks (in case of cold feet!)
- Cozy gloves
- Baby spruce trees
- DIY hot chocolate (which you can make boozy or not!
Just remember that no matter which favors you choose, you’ll want to display them in a prominent place. If you’re getting married outside and want guests to use the favor at your wedding (like a blanket) place them on your ceremony chairs, or in a basket nearby. Just be sure to put a note on them that makes it clear they’re a favor and not just for use at your wedding. You can include a note such as: To have and to hold in case you get cold. 🙂
