Welcome to Wisconsin!
“Ingleside Hotel (previously Country Springs Hotel) is extremely accommodating. Everything is available onsite from getting ready areas, guest accommodations, ceremony space (both outside and inside), newly renovated ballrooms…what more could a couple want? And the coordinator, Brian, is AMAZING. I couldn’t say enough great things about him. He always puts the couple and their guests first. Every wedding there is spectacular,” says Tasha Motto of Vital Image Wedding Studio.
“Since 1925, The Stevens Point Country Club has offers the great nostalgia and tradition of a country club with a zeal and passion to bring something exceptional! From their challenging, well-maintained golf course to their professional staff offering top-notch service, food and cocktails that could compete against even the best of big-city dining, they want this to be a place you will feel proud to book,” says Marsha VanArk of Distinctly Yours Weddings & Events.
“The guys at Black Swan MKE are really great. They run a tight ship and are so well executed and efficient. They are really accommodating with storage units couples can utilize a week before and after their weddings. They’re organized and thoughtful. Black Swan is also styled well and overlooks the riverfront in the Third Ward. With an onsite bridal suite and a realistic guest capacity, I consider it one of Milwaukee’s best!” says Danielle Horvatin of Rosewood Weddings.
“Whether you’re planning an intimate wedding or a large reception, they have the space and amenities at SentryWorld to make your wedding an event to remember. Their room options are unique and flexible, because your wedding should be one-of-a-kind,” VanArk also says.
“I love Chelsea with Chelsea Matson Photography. For one, she does incredible work. Her editing is clean with good lighting and a touch of moody, which I like. She’s candid in her work and personality, meaning she’s so approachable and also understands where the true ‘moments’ in a wedding day are. Besides her craft, she’s just a warm-hearted person with a huge heart and easy sense of humor,” says Horvatin.
“Vital Image, obviously! The staff here gives you that family-orientated atmosphere but the security of a larger company. They have staff available 24/7 to answer any question. Plus they are the highest rated photography studio in Wisconsin!” says Motto.
“This was the hardest since I love so many! But Leaves is my favorite because even though they are a small business they have AMAZING ideas. They are always making my brides so happy without breaking their budget. Plus, I love how active they are in the community and always giving back,” says Motto.
“Emily with Wood Violet is a really masterful florist. She’s seasoned and very versatile with grounding in more of an organic approach to floral artistry. She is understanding with her clients, but also guiding as it is uncharted territory for most couples. Her floral arrangements are never the same, and she’s always making an effort to be creative. With many rental options like table numbers, vases, installments, she’s really a Milwaukee staple for the wild hearts,” says Horvatin.
“Tall Guy and a Grill, specifically Nina who I’ve worked with before, is a really great catering company in Milwaukee. This food is fresh, thoughtfully sourced, creative, comforting and fun!” says Horvatin.
“It has been a mother/daughter company that started in their home and has worked up to a stand alone company. 80% of my couples use them because they have excellent variety and are extremely affordable,” says Motto.
“Alexis with Yield Bakehouse is my favorite in Milwaukee. It’s really challenging to find baking that looks incredible and tastes incredible. With Yield Bakehouse, it’s always both. I know that she keeps up with industry trends and educates herself on all of her creations. She’s always up for a challenge and really wants to please her couples. Alexis is very hardworking and makes everything from scratch!” says Horvatin.
Hair & Makeup Artists
“They offer in salon and onsite services. They provide both makeup and hair stylists PLUS a hot breakfast for all the ladies. Their pricing is also the most affordable I’ve found, and of course they are the sweetest girls!” says Motto.
“Amy with Hair by Smash is the best around. Coincidentally, her perfect pair is Kelly with Lustrous Beauty. These two are an unstoppable HMUA team. With so much talent and client-focus, they really just let their work speak for itself. Amy is the Braid Queen of the Midwest and Kelly is the sweetest little firecracker who can understand any makeup style that you’d like!” says Horvatin.
