How has this stayed off my list of best wedding songs for so long?!
This Lou Reed song isn’t a “classic” wedding song, per se, and sometimes it can feel a bit darker than the lyrics intend (listed below), but it’s still one of those songs that is so good it deserves to be considered for your wedding song…if you’re fan, that is!
There are a couple of Lou Reed/Velvet Underground tracks that I would love to suggest as a wedding song (like Pale Blue Eyes), but the lyrics tend to not be super appropriate. These lyrics, however, are spot on and would be really sweet to either walk down the aisle to (even an instrumental version would be awesome) or use as a first dance song.
