Marchesa was launched in 2004 by British designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig. Georgina started her career as a costume designer, while Keren focused on print and embroidery design, which meant they would make the perfect wedding dress design team! In addition to their bridal line, they have a resort and a high-end evening gown line. The line has been worn by Penelope Cruz, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz, and Sandra Bullock at the 2010 Academy Awards. Nicole Richie wore several Marchesa wedding dresses, as did actress Emily Blunt (just one). Fun bit of info: Georgina is married to Harvey Weinstein (of Miramax fame), and they just welcomed a baby girl last August.
The fabric and sometimes subtle/bold designs of their gowns is gorgeous. I love the draping and attention to detail each one has.
