The Report
Built in 1972 by Fillmore Crank for his wife, well-known Hollywood actress, Beverly Garland, The Garland has a colorful history and strong presence in the North Hollywood community. In the second generation of family management, James Crank took the helm in 1999. Today, The Garland boasts 257 renovated guest rooms including 14 suites, updated public spaces, the addition of a brand-new outdoor garden/wedding venue – Beverly Park, and a completely redesigned restaurant, The Front Yard. Universal Studios, Universal CityWalk, Hollywood, The Hollywood Walk of Fame and Warner Bros Studios are all located minutes away.
Woman Getting Married Says
Honestly, I never knew this venue existed, but now that I do I think it’s a bit of an undiscovered gem when it comes to their outdoor areas. I am not a huge fan of the ballroom (though it’s completely useable) just because me and hotel ballrooms with carpet will never get along. BUT Beverly Park and their Courtyard spaces are really unique and could make for a really great wedding venue that is easily accessible for guests (especially out-of-towners who can stay there). It’s rare to find outdoor space like this in the heart of the city, which makes the venue a great option for an outdoor ceremony and reception.
