Average Base Cost: $17,000
Our average base cost for a Leland Lodge wedding is calculated by figuring a 125-person guest list for a Saturday ceremony/reception in Peak seasons using both reception areas and a food/beverage cost of $65/pp. Entertainment, flowers, furniture, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are NOT included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Gratuity and sales tax is included.

Facility Rental Fee:Â
Peak season (from Fathers Day to Labor Day)
- $6,500 for both reception areas.
- 8 a.m.-11 p.m.
- Wine Cellar is $1,500 all season. That is your food minimum plus beverage, tax, and gratuity (Space used for rehearsal dinners/cocktail hour area/extra bar)
- Note: If you book out the entire lodge, you can purchase an extra hour for $500. If there is not an event the night before you are welcome to come in to start decorating.
Off Season
- $3000Â for indoor reception area and $3000 for our outdoor courtyard. You can book them both for $5000.
Extras:
- Additional hours:$500/each
- Tent: $800
- Lights: $100
- 6% tax and a 21% Gratuity
What’s Included:Â Tables, chairs, glassware, stemware, linen, set-up, tear-down, servers, and bartenders.
Food and Beverage: You must use their in-house catering. For a plated meal with appetizers, salad, plated meal, dessert and an open bar it would be around $65, but the venue says they are willing to work with your budget.
Other Vendors:Â Outside vendors are allowed except for catering.

- Leland Room: 180
- Courtyard: 150

A typical wedding setup would include the ceremony or cocktail hour in the courtyard and the reception in the Leland Room. The Wine Cellar is used either for the cocktail hour or rehearsal dinner.
Bridal Suite: Yes. There are 3 cottages on site that are typically used for bridal parties to get ready in.
Parking: Yes. Parking is free.
How Will Grandma Get There? Ideally Grandma would stay on the property. They offer 18 rooms and 3 cottages on site which average around $160/night. For other guests, there are several hotel options in the area including the Whaleback Inn. Cherry Capital Airport is 50 minutes away while MBS International Airport is close to 3 hours away.
Party On! 11 p.m. is last call, but if you book all of the hotel rooms on site (18 rooms and 3 cottages) you can purchase extra hours for $500/each.
The Report:
Built in 1907, Leland Lodge was bought four years ago and was completely remodeled. With a new Wine Cellar for private events that takes after Cardinale Winery in Napa Valley, the lodge is minutes from Lake Michigan and historic Fishtown. They are also located on the 8th hole of the Leland Country Club golf course and if you choose to stay at the Lodge, you can golf. Other local activities include charter fishing, numerous wineries and breweries, beaches, site-seeing. They are open year round and have 3 different venues, 18 rooms, 3 cottages, and a restaurant on site.

Michigan brides have a lot of great “getaway” wedding venues in this area, and Leland Lodge is definitely one of them! The price per person is reasonable and they are willing to work within a couple’s budget. I would definitely try to arrange it so each hotel room is rented out, making it your own private lodge for a fun wedding weekend!
