Fall-Inspired Table Decor on a Budget

As soon as the weather starts getting cooler (which out here in Los Angeles right now it’s a freezing 75, but at night it’s 64! Lol.) all I want to do is cook and decorate and think about table decor. I definitely go through a hibernation phase as the holidays approach, and even though I’ll always love summer, it’s truly becoming my favorite time of year as I get older.

Which means whenever I see a gorgeous tablescape (like the one, below), I get a wee bit too excited. I want to go out and replicate this table decor ASAP. And though my last experience with gold spray paint was a bit messy, I think I’m willing (and able?! maybe not so much) to try again.

Needless to say I immediately fell head over heels with this fall tablescape inspiration shoot from JoPhoto in Knoxville. I love the gold accents and mix of elegant and rustic table decor they went with.

From JoPhoto:

“Our goal was to show how to achieve an elegant Thanksgiving tablescape for fall using easy and affordable DIY elements. We wanted to make the gorgeous tablescapes seen on the front of Pottery Barn and Country Living attainable for the everyday person.

Minus the china, flatware, and the lovely floral centerpiece, everything seen on the tablescape was purchased at the Dollar Store or a craft store. A variety of metallic spray paints was the key to turning the once wooden candlesticks and orange pumpkins into an elegant array of fall decorations. We purchased the sorbet bowls from the Dollar Store and finished off the tablescape with a little moss and foliage (easily found from a backyard.) Lastly, the old hutch was filled with some our favorite fall wedding favors from Custom Love Gifts’ Esty shop.”

Gorgeous photos from this table decor shoot are below. When you’re done, check out more fun fall wedding ideas here!
