Having your bridesmaids pick out separates for your wedding is a great way to go. Not only does it give them a bit of freedom when it comes to choosing their own style, but it allows them to buy pieces that they will most likely want to wear again.
If you’re interested in having your ‘maids wear separates, a pleated maxi skirt in one color or a variety of colors is a great way to go. I think it’s best to find one for them that comes in different colors, and either pick out your favorite or have them choose with a little guidance. I would also stick to the same shirt if you’re going in the different color direction…or even if you’re sticking to the same. I’m always a fan of light pink for weddings…it’s still bright but not white or cream so you won’t risk having it clash with your wedding dress.
Below is a sample bridesmaid look using a teal pleated maxi skirt from P.A.R.O.S.H. ($234), a Fabiana Filippi blouse ($292) and a Swarovski Eternal Flower Necklace ($165). The orange color would work great for spring, summer, or fall!
