How Will Grandma Get There? Ideally Grandma can stay with you on the Ranch as part of the Wedding Package. Otherwise, guests can stay in Solvang, which is a 15-minute drive away or farther out in Santa Barbara (a 45-minute drive). If a lot of guests are staying off the property, a shuttle to transport them would likely be your best bet.

Woman Getting Married Says

I think the Apple Creek Ranch is a really great option for couples looking for a flexible, cost-effective wedding estate in Southern California with guest accommodations. It’s just the right mix of rustic and contemporary, and the grounds make you feel like you’re on your own private wedding island (well, if that island was a ranch). In other words, it’s private and intimate, but it also has the space to accommodate a good-sized wedding.

The only drawbacks for me are the 11 p.m. cut-off time and the fact that most guests would need to stay in Solvang, which is cute but a bit kitschy for those guests who might be a little on the picky side when it comes to lodging options. Those are minor quibbles, however, and overall I think this should definitely be in the running if you are looking for a wedding venue in Santa Barbara’s wine country.
