The saying is an English rhyme that dates back to 1898, and it’s managed to stick around millions of weddings later.
While the wedding tradition allows for freedom of choice in terms of what falls into which category, one of the most fun ways to incorporate your “something blue” is down under. No, not on your underwear (though I love that option, too!), but your shoes.
Wearing blue wedding shoes is a fun twist on the tradition that is easy to pull off. While the shade of blue is up to you, keep in mind that you don’t want to totally overpower your wedding dress with whichever choice you make. The shade of blue wedding shoes you wear should enhance wedding dress style: A slim-fitting silk gown would look great with a brighter blue, while an off-white lace gown would look amazing with more of a powder blue.
