For Guru and Bangxi, it all started during college orientation at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. He was in the audience when she was supposed to sing a song — but the microphone broke. Lucky for them, the awkward yet cute moment brought them together. After three years of dating, the couple found themselves in Key West, Florida. When sunset came one night, it was his turn to sing. He proposed at sunset with a song he wrote himself.
Guru, of course, said yes. Then came the wedding! The two said “I Do” at the Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, Washington on July 4th. The day wasn’t riddled with red, white, and blue though (unless you count the bride’s Manolo Blahnik heels). However, there were certainly fireworks at the end of this classy and elegant wedding.
