There are a ton of nude and natural nail polish colors out there…one of the most popular being Essie’s Ballet Slippers. While that sheer pink works just fine, sometimes you’re just looking for something a little different. But it’s hard to find the perfect nude: one that’s not too pink, peach, or just plain boring.
I’m a big fan of the Butter line of nail polishes. Not only because they’re carcinogen-free but because they make an entire line of amazing colors. A few favorites include Blowing Raspberries (the perfect classic red), Primrose Hill (a really fun pink) and Trout Pout (another great sheer pink). A new favorite that I discovered yesterday is Tea With the Queen. It really is the perfect mix between “I’m not wearing anything” and “Why, yes, I did just get my nails done.”
Even though bright reds or another fun color can work for a wedding, you can never go wrong with nude. I mistakenly got a very 1960’s-ish pink for my wedding day, and whenever I look at the photos I pretend I can’t see my nails (all I was missing was a frosted lipstick). This color is pretty much exactly as the title describes: it’s understated enough for tea with the queen or, you know, your wedding.
Do you have a favorite nail polish color? What are you planning on wearing to your wedding?
