All of which are located in downtown Highlands, where guests are in walking distance to restaurants, galleries, and other sites. And guests will definitely be in good hands, as it was recently named TripAdvisor’s #5 Top Hotel in the U.S. in 2015. The Old Edwards Inn was the Highlands’ earliest known boarding house, known as Central House. Guests of the Old Edwards Inn (which is on the National Register of Historic Places) have access to an 18-hole golf course, spa/heated pool, and a fitness center. Their main venue, known as The Farm, spans 33 acres of gardens and includes a ceremony lawn, furnished barn, wood and stone glass pavillion, trout pond with fountain and bridal bridge, and a period farmhouse for the bridal party. Woman Getting Married Says:
The Farm at Old Edwards looks like it’s straight from a Restoration Hardware catalogue, complete with wrought-iron chandeliers and a stone fireplace. Though large it still has a completely intimate feeling, as if you’re saying ‘I Do’ in your dream home and are having your closest friends and family over for dinner…up to 300 of them! I’d like to see them include the cost of the dance floor and stage, but it’s not astronomical. And when you compare The Farm to a Blackberry Farm wedding in terms of venues, you’re looking at a much lower cost. Overall I think this would make a perfect destination wedding venue if you have a $80,000+ budget. Even if you live in New York City this is a great alternative to other wedding venues upstate. I kind of want to go there right now!
