Free Wedding Invitation Diy

DIY’ing your save the dates and wedding invitations can end up saving you A LOT of money (click here for a look at how much wedding invitations cost). But just because you’re not splurging on your wedding invites doesn’t mean they shouldn’t look like you did!

I scoured the internet to find my 10 favorite diy wedding invitation templates, concentrating on designs that looked like they were professionally done (and actually, these were all created by talented designers). I also only chose templates that were easily editable by you at home, so you wouldn’t have to worry about silly things like alignment and layout.

Take a look at my favorite DIY wedding invitation picks, below.

Watercolor Wedding Invite

This editable wedding invitation template comes in coral, purple, blue, and green to match any wedding theme. Watercolor is such a great design option because it can fit anything from a beach wedding to a black-tie ballroom.

Ombre Wedding Invitation Suite

This printable wedding invitation tool from The Wedding Chicks is pretty awesome. You just pick your colors and enter the text and in less than a minute you get a PNG to print. You can also print RSVP’s, Save the Dates, Escort Cards, Thank You cards, and more. It’s seriously awesome. If you’re not in love with the Ombre design they have a ton of other wedding invitation templates to choose from.

“Sew-In-Love” Wedding Invite

Simple and sweet, you can add lots of cute design elements to this free wedding invitation, such as a ribbon tied around the invitation suite with a button in the middle.

Fancy Footwork Save the Date

I LOVE these free save the dates for a vintage-inspired wedding. You can choose from the foxtrot, salsa, waltz, or cha-cha and customize your name, date, and location. It doesn’t allow you to add additional lines, so I would think about getting a custom stamp that has your wedding website url that you can put on the bottom.

This is definitely a girly wedding invitation, but it’s still cute nonetheless! It could also work really well for a bridal shower invitation. Get the free wedding invitation template here.

Bright and Fun Save the Date Template

I love the colors on this free Save the Date template. I would even opt for colored envelopes in the same tone of something completely different to switch it up. Large confetti could be fun to put inside as well, but honestly I hate when I open an envelope and all that stuff gets on the floor! LOL.

Bunting Wedding Invite

Printing this free wedding invitation on kraft paper is the perfect look for a rustic barn wedding. I would opt for brightly colored envelopes and even ribbon to liven this invite up. I also wouldn’t be afraid of adding glitter to this as well! Just put some glue on the bunting flags and add colored glitter for a really fun look!
