The Report:
Originally known as the Realty Warehouse Company, the building–located in what’s now known as the Warehouse District–was designed by architect Cass Gilbert (who also designed the state Capitol). In 1991 the building was converted to a theater, and from 1992-2008 it was home to the Theatre de la Jeune Lune. The Theater closed in 2008, and the building was eventually bought and renovated before it reopened as an event venue. Featuring original brick walls, tall ceilings, art work, and crystal chandeliers, the building now hosts corporate events, exhibitions, fundraisers, and weddings.
Woman Getting Married Says:
I definitely love how unique this venue is, and the location is extremely convenient for guests traveling to Minneapolis or looking to stay overnight. The great thing about industrial spaces such as this one is that you can pretty much do ANYTHING with it, meaning you can dress it up OR down depending on your preference and budget. And given that the venue is indoor-only, this is great choice for those cold Minnapolis winter weddings!
