Quinn and Michael have known each other since they were kids. They went to sleep-away camp together and eventually reunited through Quinn’s twin brother, who’s also Michael’s best friend/ (How sweet is that?!) This beautiful couple tied the knot in a whimsical, modern celebration in the front yard of Quinn’s family home near Cleveland. It was a gorgeous garden party with some East Coast flair and a nonstop dance floor.
With gorgeous photos by Lauren Gabrielle Photography, and details by Kirkbrides Wedding Planning & Design we are pretty much obsessed with every detail from this wedding day! We had 150 photos to choose from and honestly? It was hard to narrow it down. Everything was dreamy and fun and magical.
Since we HAD to pick, we’ve included a few of our favorites below. Thanks again to Quinn and Michael, and thanks to Lauren Gabrielle Photography for letting us share the day with you!
Getting Ready at Quinn’s Family Home
Since everything was happening at Quinn’s family home, everyone just hung out and got dressed together at the house. Quinn’s bridesmaids were all in green, her mom looked stunning in a floral gown, and the invitation suite tied everything together in soft green, cream, and gold.
First Look, then Portraits in the Woods
Their first look happened right out front, then they strolled into the trees for portraits. Quinn’s strapless Maria Farbinni gown was a huge, ethereal tulle affair, and the green of those Ohio woods took care of the rest.
Wedding Party
Can we talk about pink floral bridesmaid dress? I want to cover an entire room in that print and never leave! It was navy suits for the gentlemen, and you could clearly tell everyone was having such a good time by the time they got to group pictures. Those bouquets were all from Blooms By Plantscaping, who also did the ceremony flowers you’re about to see (WOW, wait for them).
Garden Ceremony Under the Chuppah
The ceremony took place outside under a chuppah so covered in white flowers and greenery you couldn’t even see the poles. At the end of a petal-covered aisle, Quinn walked in with both of her parents. There were family heirlooms and Jewish traditions woven all through their vows.
Still figuring out who walks when? Our wedding processional order guide breaks it down.
Cocktail Hour
If you steal one thing from this wedding, it’s this: guests got their first drink at the bottom of the driveway before they even set foot in the house. Cocktail hour had a wandering violinist, tons of appetizers, and someone rolling sushi right in front of everyone. The food and drinks kept flowing all night long, so no one ever waited around for anything.
Reception Inside the Tent
Once the sun set, the inside of the tent looked amazing. The poles were wrapped in greenery, with woven rattan lanterns and candles everywhere, and the whole thing glowed. Green and white linens ran down the long tables in the center.
Renting your own tent? The right outdoor lighting is what gives you this glow after sunset.
Dance Sets Between Courses
Quinn and Michael flipped the script on the usual reception schedule. They put dance sets between the courses instead of one long dinner (I love that!), so the dance floor was basically never empty. A saxophonist played them in, and everyone jumped into the hora right away. A little later, a bunch of the family swapped their fancy dress shoes for sneakers, because in this family, dancing is serious business.
A full dance floor like this usually comes down to the music, so grab our wedding songs for every moment roundup.
Hidden Bourbon Bar in the Woods
Later that evening, guests discovered a hidden bourbon bar and s’mores station tucked deep in the woods, with lights strung up everywhere. It was a nod to where these two met as kids: camp. They cut the cake, and as the night wound down, people wandered down the softly lit path through the trees and hung out as long as they could.
I haven’t seen a wedding I love this much in a long time! A big congrats to the happy couple!
