Not Even a Flooded Aisle Stopped This Bride From Getting Married

The phrase “come hell or high water” has never been more applicable than when a bride literally waded through flood water while walking down the aisle at her wedding.

In a video published by The Guardian, 24-year-old Jobel de los Angeles can be seen making graceful strides toward the altar despite the flooded church surrounding her. The wedding was in the Bulacan province of the Philippines, an area that’s been braving heavy rains from tropical storm Yagi.

“Even if it floods or it rains, nothing can stop me. You only get married once, will you postpone it? I was marrying the man I love,” Jobel told the AFP. “My gown got wet and heavy but I told myself it was as if I was walking on a red carpet.”

The groom, Jefferson, opted for sandals with his suit.

A flooded church wasn’t the couple’s only problem, though. There were no cars able to drive, so the two had to travel by boat!

Regardless, the wedding went off without a hitch. The two even used the opportunity to baptise their five-month-old daughter. Talk about making the best of a bad situation.
