Bianca and Brian’s wedding at Aeries Winery in Illinois is the perfect example of how things don’t have to go exactly as planned. As long as you can go with the flow, keep smiling, and remember why you’re there in the first place, the day will usually fall into place. More from Bianca and Brian’s wedding photographer,Jaimie Nicole Krause Photography, below, about this special day.
“Bianca & Brian’s wedding day started off as a soaking wet mess. Bianca got ready at Brian’s mom’s cottage on the Mississippi River. When Bianca went to bed, everything was fine… but when she woke up, most of the town was under water, and the river was rising on the cottage, as well! It was quite the trek to get to the picturesque Aeries Winery, located on the bluffs overlooking the Illinois and Mississippi Rivers.
Bianca & Brian planned to tie the knot at 11:11 a.m. on the Summer Solstice, on the deck overlooking the rivers. Just as efforts began to move everything indoors, the rain stopped, and the sky began to clear out.The couple were able to marry on the deck, just as they had planned. The couple chose not to have a wedding party, but included their parents in the ceremony. Brian’s dad officiated the ceremony, and their mothers played Filippino singing bowls as Bianca’s dad walked her down the aisle. Just as the ceremony was over, the skies opened back up and it started raining again. “
Don’t you love stories like that? Check out a few of our favorite photos from their gorgeous wedding, below, which included so many DIY details from Bianca, a graphic designer, who designed and screen printed all of the stationary herself. She also made the favors (she jarred local honey), the floral arrangements / centerpieces, her bouquet, and the boutonnieres. Phew! Congrats to the happy couple…we are so happy your day turned out as wonderful as it did, despite a few obstacles. 🙂
