Joshua was stationed in Japan with the U.S. Navy in 2008 when he attended a friend’s barbecue and met Yuka…it was love at first sight! The couple, who got engaged in 2012, wanted to have an intimate wedding that was both close to Josh’s family in California and at a venue completely different than what they could experience in Japan, so they chose to do their first look at the Claremont, with their wedding at The Brazilian Room in Tilden Regional Park, Berkeley, California.
One of my favorite parts of their elegant wedding was that Yuka surprised Josh, who has a love of cars, with a ride in the classic cream Rolls Royce once owned by the Desi Arnaz from the show, “I Love Lucy!” to the ceremony, where they said ‘I Do’ in front of their closest family and friends.
