“To be well dressed is a little like being in love,” was a motto of designer Oleg Cassini, who passed away in 2006 with an amazing legacy that continues on today. He was a designer for Jacqueline Kennedy and is often credited for creating “The Jackie Look.”
Born in Paris, he moved to America in 1936 and originally worked as a political cartoonist. After relocating to Hollywood, he met a studio head at Paramount Pictures and was eventually hired on as a clothing designer for movies.
In 1961 he was selected to be Jacqueline Kennedy’s personal stylist, designing over 300 outfits for the first lady and becoming known as the “Secretary of Style.”

Oleg Cassini Wedding Dress Collection 2022
Woman Getting Married Says: Jackie Kennedy’s style was known for being pretty, simple and classic, and these dresses definitely ring true to that aesthetic. We love Oleg Cassini wedding dresses on brides looking for something that’s “classic bridal,” like a princess ball gown with a sweetheart neckline.
They also offer an amazing selection of plus size wedding dresses (you can see several options, below). The line does play with length, color, and fabric, but they are conservative enough that they would be a great fit for a formal church ceremony. And of course we’re fans of the price—you definitely won’t break your bridal budget on an Oleg Cassini wedding dress.
