Designer Gaby Bayona might have just started her couture line of wedding dresses, Truvelle, in 2013, but a love of all things bridal has been in her life from as long as she can remember.
“[I grew up in a] “household filled with sewing machines, wedding gowns, and constant creation,” the Vancouver born and raised designer recently told Pacific Weddings. With a mother who was also a bridal gown designer, Bayona said her childhood memories were “laced with full skirts and fleeting veils.”
Bayona’s lifelong inspiration shows with her handmade designs featuring classic, clean lines and unexpected details…like the rose gold sequins found in her 2015 collection, featured below.
“We don’t make dresses that wear the girl, but instead something that dresses up an already beautiful individual,” Bayona told Canadian website Wedding Bells earlier this year.

Woman Getting Married Says: I love the ethereal yet classic design of this line, especially the 2015 collection. The sequin and lace ombre details are fun and whimsical without going overboard for those of you favor a more traditional look, and the entire collection manages to look effortlessly chic and elegant. I’m definitely a fan!
