Pusha T is officially off the market! The rapper married his longtime girlfriend, Virginia Williams, in their hometown of Virginia Beach on Saturday, July 21.
The couple didn’t just choose a random Saturday to tie the knot, either. Williams told BRIDES that the two became engaged on the same date two years earlier. “For whatever reason I see the number 721 almost everyday in crazy places. On 7/21/16 Terrence had me believing he was in LA, but popped up at our home in Bethesda,” Williams said. “He told me to meet him on our rooftop terrace…when I did he was on one knee and asked me to marry him at 7:21 pm! I said yes!”
The location of the wedding had significance for Pusha T and Williams, too. In addition to keeping things local for a majority of their family and friends, they “wanted to show off Virginia Beach” to those traveling from afar,” Williams told BRIDES. The couple even “added Virginia flare in the details” of their big day, which was held at the Cavalier Hotel.
The “Virginia flare” was even incorporated into one of the two dresses Williams wore — though in this case, Virginia means Williams herself. “One is me coming out my box and the other says ‘Virginia,'” she told BRIDES. Her dress for the ceremony was a floral embroidered Marchesa feathered gown, paired with a long veil. For the reception, Williams wore a minimalistic Reem Acra gown.
The groom stunned in a cream-colored Dior suit, which was custom designed by Kim Jones. The rapper thanked Jones in an Instagram post prior to the wedding. The groomsmen also wore custom Dior, and the bridesmaids donned white dresses from Katie May Collection.
A number of famous guests attended the wedding, including the best man himself: Pharrell Williams.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were also present, and Kim even posted a few Instagram stories showcasing the big day.
Other guests included Trey Songz, Fabolous, and The Dream.
