We are so inspired by Odylyne the Ceremony’s latest wedding dress collection. The vintage look and feel of their New York Bridal Fashion Week Fall 2017 runway show was majorly gorgeous…from the vintage candelabras to the lush florals, the collection was romantic, ethereal, and modern. Designer Stephanie White says she was inspired by the notion of “Star Crossed Lovers,” which is what they named the collection after. More from her, below:
“We love William Shakespeare’s idea that star crossed lovers are working against fate to preserve their love. A love story that has been written in the stars and the force that has brought them together would soon try to tear them apart. With a love that burns that bright comes a youthful immortality that is preserved. We are infatuated with the idea of the preservation of a young and innocent love. This kind of child like love is full of magic. Our Star Crossed Lovers Collection is an ode to this.”
Le sigh. We love that! Check out a few of our favorite wedding dresses from the Star Crossed Lovers collection below, and start dreaming about your own poetic wedding. Doesn’t this quote seem ever so fitting for this collection:
Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs;
Being purged, a fire sparkling in lovers’ eyes;
Being vexed, a sea nourished with loving tears.
What is it else? A madness most discreet,
A choking gall, and a preserving sweet.
