It’s December, A.K.A. the perfect time to reflect on everything that’s happened this past year—not only on a personal level, but also with what dominated headlines, social media, and tons of group message conversations. According to Google’s annual wrap-up of top-trending searches, people were most interested in learning about everything from Disney Plus (the number one most searched topic overall) to wide receiver Antonio Brown (the number five most-searched topic overall, but number one most-searched person).
Google breaks down all of the popular searches into different categories; one of which is “weddings.” As evidenced by the top five searches within the category, people were more interested in the celebrities who said “I Do” in 2019 instead of things like “invitation etiquette” or “bachelorette party destinations.”
Here, we round-up the most searched for celebrity weddings of the year.
Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin
Following her divorce from Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert secretly wed police officer Brendan McLoughlin in January. Despite the country singer’s ceremony and reception being on the down-low, it beat out every other searched-for celebrity wedding of 2019.
Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney
Jennifer Lawrence married art gallerist Cooke Maroney in Rhode Island this fall. Their nupitals came in second in Google’s “wedding” category.
Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin
These two actually tied the knot in a New York City courthouse awhile ago, but held a larger ceremony with family and friends in September.

Though Miley and Liam have since called it quits, the two wed in an intimate at-home ceremony in late December of last year. Despite the wedding being in 2018, Cyrus posted numerous photos (which have been deleted from her Instagram) of their nuptials on Valentine’s Day of this year—thus sparking all of the Google searches.
Chiquis Rivera and Lorenzo Mendez
Singer Chiquis Rivera said “I Do” to Lorenzo Mendez in June.

Yesterday was the best day of our lives! We became husband and wife in front of God, our families and those we love. It was intimate, moving and emotional. We feel so blessed to begin this new chapter of our lives. We are so thankful to our families and our friends who stood with us and grateful to Mr. Giorgio Armani who created a once in a lifetime dress for Katherine to wear and for me, the perfect suit. This morning we feel nothing but blessed.
The actor—who was previously married to Anna Farris—and Katherine Schwarzenegger tied the knot in Montecito, California, in a ceremony they described on Instagram as “intimate, moving and emotional.”
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
This iconic couple first wed in a low-key Vegas ceremony in May, and then had a second wedding in the south of France in the summer.
Elvis Duran and Alex Carr
The famous radio host married his longtime boyfriend, Alex Carr, in New Mexico this September.
Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman
Are double weddings becoming a trend? Like many other celebrity couples, Zoe Kravitz and Karl Glusman said “I Do” twice this year.
Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau

i’m probably gonna be posting wedding photos longer than we’re married for but i felt like i had to start with these- these photos were taken minutes after someone literally threw an entire drink at us at the fucking altar. obviously, like everything happening at this wedding- that wasn’t apart of my plan (or any ideal for a regular wedding). but somehow amidst all of the chaos and cameras, we grabbed eachother’s faces and the second we both locked eyes and smiled… it made it all better. everything was okay. if not, better. it kinda set the tone for everything we’ll go through together. probably not easy, or conventional, but throughout all of the chaos, if we can just grab eachother, the world stops spinning for a second. i’m never really prepared for what might be thrown at us but i’m happy i get to deal with it with my best friend by my side. it’s a beautiful thing that every single time someone wants to take the power away from us and put us down, we are able to come together and let positivity & love help us power through that. i wouldn’t have wanted to marry you in any other unconventional fucked up way, Jake. I love you. 7.28.19. ❤️ (apologies in advance for the amount of pictures i’ll post over the next week)
In a wedding that was destined to be the talk of the internet—though it only came in 10th place—”Jana” tied the knot with a lavish ceremony and reception in late July.
