Wow. This styled wedding shoot from Lisa Lucia at L Squared Affairs has to be one of the prettiest things we’ve seen in a long time!! The stunning backdrop, decor, bride and groom (Katie and Matt took leave from the Marine’s and drove all the way from Arizona to be part of this!!), and fashion has come together in such a beautiful way. With stunning photos from Lydia Photography, we’re just filled to the brim with utter gorgeousness.

“I chose the Miner’s Foundry for our shoot location because of the gorgeous, natural texture of the stone in the appropriately named, “Stone Hall.” Located about an hour and a half Northeast of Sacramento, Nevada City is such a fun little Gold Rush town, with so much charm and personality. The venue itself dates back to the mid 1800’s, so when we talk about “rustic,” we mean it! The Miner’s Foundry is used for many different activities, but we think it makes such a beautiful wedding backdrop.
The stone walls and exposed beam ceilings make a gorgeous visual element from top to bottom, which is something you can’t find at a lot of venues, and the fireplace is a stunning focal point. I went with rich jewel tones for this setting to give some color and depth to the neutral tones of the stone walls. Plus, it seemed reminiscent of an old mining town. For the guest tablescape, I chose to use Tin Roof Farmhouse’s beautiful ivory vintage sofa to bring an air of informality and family closeness to an otherwise elegant table. The sweetheart table mimics the wooden farm table, with the beautiful ivory Captain’s chairs, but with a luxurious satin table cloth. Mismatched jewel tone glassware, china and vintage cutlery pair perfectly with hand-painted watercolor menus and leather place cards to create a modest and classic elegance. To tie it all together, Bekah from Bloom and Vine created the most beautiful floral arrangements that bring in so much color and richness.”
And that yummy-looking cocktail? It’s called the Love Potion, and you can find the signature wedding cocktail recipe here!
