The husband went out of town this past weekend, which meant I basically spent two nights OD’ing on chick flicks. Indecent Proposal, the 1993 (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) movie with Demi Moore, Robert Redford, and Woody “Ganja” Harrelson was on cable for the thousandth time, so of course I watched it. If you’ve never seen it, the basic storyline is this: Demi and Woody are a couple with financial debt who go to Vegas to try their luck gambling. Handsome billionaire Robert Redford propositions the couple with $1 million for one night with Demi, which they accept. Their marriage basically starts to crumble after they leave Vegas and the infamous night behind them, but Woody can’t get over the fact that he let his wife bone someone else. In the meantime, Robert Redford continues to woo Demi Moore. I won’t ruin the ending for you…but it’s an entertaining movie to watch, and also an entertaining question to ask yourself: Would you sleep with a Robert Redford-lookalike billionaire for $1 million? (Of course not, right…Right?!)
I love Demi Moore’s style in the movie…from her perfect-length bob to her weird-yet-cool accessories. (If anybody knows who designed that khaki purse/vest in the first movie still, below, please let me know! I tried to find the best alternative I could.) She has some great outfits in the movie (including an amazing Thierry Mugler cutout cocktail dress) and I thought several of them would make for the perfect funky wardrobe for a big city
