Our average base cost for a Fort Mason Center wedding is calculated by figuring an 125-person guest list for a Saturday night ceremony/reception in the General’s Residence using a food/beverage minimum of $150/pp. Entertainment, flowers, furniture, additional decorations and rentals, transportation, and photography are not included. Price is rounded up to the nearest thousand. Gratuity and sales tax is included.

Facility Rental Fee: The venue rental fee is broken down by area, as follows:
General’s Residence:
- Saturday: $8,000
- Friday/Sunday: $5,000
- Monday-Thursday: $4,000
- Cleaning fee: $400
Firehouse:
- 8:00 am – midnight: $2,000
- 8:00 am – 4:00 pm: $1,000
- 5:00 pm – midnight: $1,000
- Cleaning fee: $250
Gallery 308:
Friday/Sunday:
- 8:00 am – midnight: $5,500
- 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm – midnight: $3,600
- Cleaning fee: $300
Saturday:
- 8:00 am – midnight: $5,500 (required)
- Cleaning fee: $300
Monday-Thursday:
- 8:00 am – midnight: $4,500
- 8:00 am – 4:00 pm or 5:00 pm – midnight: $3,000

Chapel:
- Weekday: $150/hour

What’s Included:
For the General’s Residence, Firehouse and Gallery 308, the rental fee includes banquet tables, chairs, and the setup/breakdown of the room. For the Chapel only use of the space is included.
Extras:
- 10% preservation fee
- Alcohol permit: $25
- Assembly permit (for all events with 200+ people): $100
- Open Flame permit: $25 (only required for events with less than 200 people that will have full service catering or candles)
- $500,000 insurance policy required. The venue offers this insurance at $100.
Vendors: Outside vendors are allowed.
Food and Beverage: You may choose your own caterer and BYOB. However, alcohol must be served by an insured caterer.

- General’s Residence: 250 for seated dinner (using the Dining Room and Ballroom)

Parking: Yes. Depending on the venue, there is either street parking available, a venue lot, or nearby lots the venue partners with.
How Will Grandma Get There? There are a few waterfront options on nearby Fisherman’s Wharf, such as the Argonaut Hotel. Otherwise, downtown San Francisco is 10 minutes away by car and offers an array of hotel options.

Located on a 13-acre campus with over 15 venues to choose from, the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) is a nonprofit that hosts over 1.2 million annual visitors for theater and dance performances, art installations, and educational and cultural classes among other events. The most popular wedding venue at Fort Mason is the General’s Residence.
Woman Getting Married Says:
The views at this San Francisco wedding venue are beyond amazing, which is why you’ll pay that hefty rental fee for a Saturday night. However, being able to bring in your own caterer and alcohol is a big plus. I do think you’ll need to spend a bit of money on decorations/furniture rentals if you go with any of their venues, and the General’s Residence does have carpet which I would love to see changed ONE DAY, but for now those views more than make up for it. 🙂
